I hate having allergies. I feel sick but vitamin C, etc., will do me no good. I can't take antihistamines because I'll fall asleep (and I have waaay too much work to do). And I don't have time to go out and shop for an air filter.

Dammit dammit dammit.

At the risk of sounding like a tree-hugging, granola-crunching Oregonian, I enthusiastically recommend yoga for allergies. There are certain pranayama (breathing) techniques which I swear will totally get rid of your allergies if you do them daily, especially in combination with certain poses to open up your chest. I don't get allergy attacks anymore.

Andy, hehehe. Not that you're looking forward to getting out of the city or anything ;)

I LOOOOOVE yoga. I used to go three times a week at 5:15 in the morning. Yes, you read that right.

I stopped going for obvious reasons, but CRAP I miss it. I do need to get better about simply doing it at home, though. I've got the mat and everything.

I remember a lot of the ashtanga poses but not sure if I know which specific breathing techniques would help with my allergies... I'm definitely open to links/advice/etc.
