Okay, this makes me nervous

It's bad enough I don't have an air conditioner -- now there's a chance even my fans and refrigerator won't work?

And still people drive to work in their irresponsible, gas-guzzling, dangerous and ugly SUVs, without a thought for the rapidly melting ice in Greenland. Maybe we really do deserve what we get.

SING IT!

I have an air conditioner, yet I have only turned it on once (on a 4 setting, and that was last night). I wish other people would be less wasteful. You know people in the Hollywood Hills are living Arctic-style in their 5.5 acre houses. Disgusting!

::jealousy::

I'm almost ready to shell out the big bucks for it. My credit card's almost paid off, but what good will that do me if I die of heatstroke?

But, yeah, I hate wastefulness. Seriously, do all 47 rooms have to be freezing cold? Aren't just the 15 you actually use enough?

lol, J

I do have to admit, if I had an air conditioner (dammit!!) I would have that thing running hard and fast. I'm just crossing my fingers that half of Los Angeles isn't underwater in 20 years...

I don't know how you live without AC. If not for the AC I would never get any sleep.

I was one of the homes mentioned in St. Louis without power. So the whole fragility of our infrastructure makes me nervous too.

darth, the power outage stuff SUCKS. I am really lucky that so far this hasn't happened to me.

Living without AC also sucks. If I wasn't in the artic-air-conditioned office most of the day (is there no happy medium??????) I would start stalking Home Depot until they got more in stock.
