May the Schwartz be with you!

This makes me very very happy.

Apparently Mel Brooks is making an animated show based on Spaceballs. I'm not sure exactly how it will work; it sounds like it's a little broader than the basic Spaceballs plot, but I'm still excited about it.

It's too bad there will be no Barf, though :( (I mean, there could be, but it wouldn't really be him). I miss you, John Candy!

I know Mel Brooks is a funny funny dude. Spaceballs is up there as one of my top ten all-time favorites. I even enjoyed Men in Tights!

Look, I love "The Producers," "Spaceballs," "History of the World," and "Blazing Saddles" as much as the next guy, but "Mel has never let us down yet"? Either your expectations are very low, or you have forgotten about, e.g., "Dracula: Dead and Loving It," "Life Stinks," and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights."

leif, dude. Don't tell me you're dissing Cary Elwes as Robin Hood.

Just don't say it.

Cary Elwes is great, even if no one would yield to the Dread Pirate Westley. But "Men in Tights" was so bad that I stopped the videotape in the middle and gave it back to ye olde video rental shoppe without finishing.

I don't remember if I rewound.

yikes, leif, hope they didn't charge you that hefty rewind fee!

Hehehe... the good old days before dvds!
