Ahem. Patrick Dempsey's character's (Dr. Shepherd) nickname on the show is McDreamy because he and Meredith have had this crazy ongoing dating-love affair thing that's kind of emotionally tumultuous. She and her friends started calling him "McDreamy" and the idea is kind of that even though the relationship overall has probably not been so great for her, she's irresistably drawn to him, because he's so darn McDreamy.
