Comedy Power Couples
The Golden Globes didn't "grab" me this year the way awards shows usually do. Which is strange, since I'm actually mostly happy with this year's winners (unlike most years, when my favorite actor/director/composer/etc. gets completely gypped).
I have to say, though, the highlight for me was Steve Carell's acceptance speech.
Although I'm not sure if he thanked his wife enough.

I don't go for the Globes at all, but I'm glad Carell won. Care to enlighten me on what he said?
You didn't miss much -- one of the more boring awards shows I've seen in a while. Carell was one of two or three bright spots in the whole thing.
He went up and claimed he hadn' written a speech because he didn't expect to win, but said his wife handed him a speech as he walked up. Short version is that in between thanking everyone else, he heaped praise onto good ol' Nancy Walls a good four times or so. It was such a great joke that when Lost won for best drama, the producer thanked Nancy as well.
i like that phrase, 'Lost won.' i think i'm gonna yank that.
*yoink*
Gasp! My phrase has been stolen!
I *knew* I should've bought The Club for my blog.
"Has this ever happened to you..."
If only I'd listened, Micah. If only...
