Eh.

I guess he's big stuff in Britain.

I was really hoping for Clive Owen. Yumm.

A blonde James Bond?! It's just not right.

I think my initial reaction to the news was "Who's Daniel Craig?"

Then, after IMDB-ing him, "WTF?!?!"

Personally, I was sad to see Brosnan given his walking papers. But I thought Clive Owen would've been a good choice, after seeing him in The Bourne Identity and Sin City. Hell, I'd even give Robbie Williams a chance - have you seen his video for "Millenium"?

But this dude? Uh, no. He looks haggard and evil.

So disappointing. I'm all for unique casting decisions, but we're talking about *James Bond* here. You can't just fundamentally change the guy -- he's been around for too long.

I haven't seen the Millenium video, but I'm sure Robbie Williams would be better than this Daniel Craig guy. There's something creepy and slimy about him. Snivelly -- he looks snivelly. More villain than hero.

You can find the video here. Good song built around a sample from "You Only Live Twice." The video's a take-off on the whole James Bond thing. I think he was put on the long list of 007 candidates because of it.
